Did and Didn't

Did you clean?  ·  Yes, I did.  ·  I didn't clean.

Ask, answer and say no in the past. The -ed moves to did, and the verb stays plain: she cleaned, did she clean?, she didn't clean. Every verb is a household chore from last class, and the answers are on a chore chart.

stage the first band and move the -ed with your hands: "cleaned, did clean, didn't clean." Then stage the chore chart and ask the room: "Did Ana mop the floor?" The room answers in the chat, short: "Yes, she did." Whoever types "Yes, she mopped" or "Yes" alone answers again, short. On the civics band, the room finds did and the plain verb in each question.
